Hello! My name is Ren, a Filipina who’s been calling Halifax home since 2016. I’m not a professional blogger, but I do enjoy documenting my little adventures in a country that started out foreign and somehow became home.

I was born and raised in Cebu City, Philippines, where life was going pretty well. I had a job, great friends, and plenty of travel adventures around the country. Then one day, I thought, “Why not see what life is like outside the Philippines?” So I packed my bags and ended up living and working in Japan for a year. That’s where I discovered two life-changing things: adulting abroad is hard, and I love the cold way more than I expected. Once my Japan stint was over, I had an epiphany: I needed cold weather, a fresh start, and maybe love. Canada? Totally checked all the boxes.
