After a few days here in Canada, I started to apply for jobs online. I sent my cover letter and resume to a few companies here. Since I am a newcomer, I am not expecting to get the job I want and this does not bother me at all. I need to get a Canadian experience and then after a few months, I will start sending applications to the companies I want. All I need right now is a stable work so that I can start saving.
July 8, 2016, Friday. I sent my application to a Call Centre here in Canada. I got a call in the afternoon on that same day. After the phone interview, they scheduled me for a personal interview on Monday.
July 11, 2016, Monday. I got up really early to prepare. I also had to be early for the bus. I arrived 30 minutes earlier so I went to Tim Horton's first to eat breakfast.
After the interview, I went to training right away. We were 20+ trainees in the training room and I'm glad most of them were friendly. Technically, it was my first day at my new job as a Customer Care Representative for a Telecommunications company in Canada. I know how stressful it is to be in a Call Centre but at least, this time, I work during the day.
I never thought I can get a job right away in Canada. I am so thankful and so blessed. This is a great start in reaching my dreams.
