I arrived in Halifax on July 5, 2016 at around 2 a.m. I know I am very tired but I couldn't sleep so I decided to unpack my luggages. I also sent messages to my family back in the Philippines that I have arrived safely.

For 32 hours of travel time, I have only slept 2-3 hours in the plane. I was wondering why I could not sleep at all and I felt so weird. This must be what they called jet lag.
In the morning, we went to get important IDs. I got my health card and Nova Scotia ID in just minutes. Canadians were very accommodating and the service was fast. I am loving this place.
It was a very sunny day so we decided to explore Downtown Halifax. I got to see the library, parks and other interesting landmarks in Halifax. I also ate a sausage sandwich sold in a food stand on a street corner.
We got back in the apartment around 2 in the afternoon.
I tried to keep myself up to force my body to sleep at night. However, I failed and fell asleep
around 3 in the afternoon. I woke up at midnight and ate a very late dinner and after that, I could not sleep again. My body is having a hard time adjusting from a very long flight. My friends told me that this is normal and that they also had the same experience. It would probably take a week before I get back on a regular sleeping schedule.
Looking forward to another great day in Canada. God has given me so much blessings than I have ever imagined. I thank Him every single day of my life.
